The Liberia National Police has received over 2000 new sets of uniforms including 3,000 rain jackets among other materials.
The provision of the Police regalia is part of Col. Patrick Sudue’s commitment to keep officer of the LNP always unique.
Making the presentation Thursday at its Headquarters, Police Inspector General Patrick Sudue said the move is a promised made at the Senate during his confirmation.
The Police Inspector General has meanwhile assured a nationwide distribution of the uniforms and food for the police.
He at the same time called on police officers to see the materials as tools in fulfilling their obligations.
Also speaking at the program was Justice Minister Cllr. Frank Musa Dean who challenged the police to conform to the call of duty.
The Liberian Justice Minister noted that police are relevant state actors in enforcing the law as well as protecting lives and properties, something he wants officers to actualize.
