The management of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) has identified with the Miss Earth Liberia Beauty Pageant.
The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation, LWSC is providing environmental Support to the event by providing access to its facility in keeping with its corporate social responsibility.
On Saturday ,August 29,organizers and contestants of the event were permitted full access to the Operational facility of the Corporation.
The Organizers and contestants toured the White Plains Water Treatment Plant in Harrisburg, Township of Caldwell.
Speaking during the guided tour of the WTP facility, the chairperson of Organizing Committee of the event and Chief Executive Officer of La Queen Entertainment, Miss Liberia 2017, Wokie Dolo lauded the Corporation for the support and privilege to visit its facility.
“ We are excited to be here today as today’s visit at the White Plains will give our goddesses (contestants ) the opportunity for a firsthand experience of one of the natural minerals and resource of the earth, water”, the former Miss Liberia said.
While on the guided tour, the contestants had the opportunity to for the first time observe the water treatment processes at the WTP; something which they said was once-in a life-time experience.
According to the former Miss Liberia, their request to tour the facility is hinged on the fact that the Miss Earth Liberia Platform is geared towards protecting the environment and keeping it clean and healthy.
“ As we all know, the Liberia Water And Sewer Corporation has statutory responsibilities to protect and keep our environment clean as well as to keep the Liberian people healthy by providing safe and clean water, so we see them as partners”, Ms. Dolo asserted.
Also on the tour was the Managing Director of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation Hon.Duannah A.Kamara who expressed delight over the Organizing Committee’s decision to regard his corporation as a partner to the prestigious event.
“We see your presence here today as a great opportunity for the LWSC to pay back to the Liberian people”, Managing Director Kamara told Organizers and goddesses of the Miss Earth Liberia 2020 Beauty Pageant.
According to Hon. Kamara, his Corporation is under full obligation to respond positively to requests of such from the Liberian people; noting without the Liberian people, there will be no LWSC.
“The LWSC doors are always opened to the Liberian people in keeping with our corporate social responsibility to our people and we encourage our people to make use of our open door policy”; the LWSC boss noted.
The Miss Earth Liberia 2020 Beauty Pageant which is scheduled for Saturday, September 19th, 2020 at the Ministerial Complex is under the auspices of the Office of Miss Liberia 2017, Wokie Dolo in partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and La Queen Entertainment.
The prestigious Beauty event will showcase seven (7) beautiful young Liberian ladies representing seven (7) goddesses including Miss. Precious Lemu Flomo, Goddess of Fire; Miss. Robertline R. Kerkula, Goddess of Light; Miss. Jemimah Tokpah, Goddess of Tears; and Miss. Fatu Gayflor, Goddess of Star.
Other beauty queens vying for this year’s Royal Crown are Miss. Leila B. Yekerlorde, Goddess of Heritage;Miss. Antoinette Harmon, Goddess of the Moon and Miss. Robell Hovers, Goddess of the Plant.
