Health Authority in Margibi County has for the first time launched and are administering the COVID-19 vaccines in the County.
The vaccine according to Dr. Myers Pajibo , Margibi County Health Officer is safe, secure, and ready for adults between the ages of 18 and above.
He said, those with high risks including Health care workers, Immigration personnel and Police Officers assigned at entry points are among those targeted for the vaccine.
Dr. Myers Pajibo speaking to KMTV said, about 1,400 doses of the vaccine is expected in the County.
For his part, Superintendent Varnie of Margibi County affirms that the issue of Health remains vital to his administration and therefore, wants Margibians to take advantage of the ongoing vaccine process.
The high ranking county official thanked the donors on behalf of the Liberian Government and those who turnout in their numbers to received shots of the COVID-19 first dose vaccine .
He is meanwhile appealing to the Liberian Government through the Ministry Health and her partners to increase the number of doses that will come to the County.
The launch of the vaccine took place on Thursday April 29,2021 at the CH Rennie Hospital in Kakata Margibi County.
