The Movement for Progressive Change (MPC) on Thursday, May 28, 2020 commenced a nationwide donations.
The donation contains huge assorted food and non food items to communities in the fight against the COVID-19.
As the result of this, three communities were given 52 begs of rice along with huge package of preventive materials for the Coronavirus.
The communities to include Roto community on Airfield and Doe Community both received 16 bags of rice each along with the preventive materials and detergents.
The Movement for Progressive Change (MPC) also presented Banjor Community 20 bags of rice and non food items in helping combating the virus.
MPC’s donations according to its chairman is a nation-wide project which commenced on Thursday.
This, the political party chair said is geared towards identifying with the needy especially in this kind of health crises the country and the world at large are face with.
As an opposition political party, the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC) Political Leader Simeon Freeman noted “is not just to do the opposition taking but the force in fight the Coronavirus”.
According to the MPC Leader, the crises that has taken thousands of lives and leaving many victimized should be looked at holistically.
“We must start to work for our people and stop criticizing without any contributions” Mr. Freeman noted.
Simeon Freeman who is the party political leader and spare-heading the donations told the beneficiaries of the current situation that needs all hands on desk.
With this , the MPC boss added if done will make Liberia once more overcome another health crises like the Ebola.
He at the same time wants community leaders and dwellers institute measures that will help save them from the pandemics.
Meanwhile, the leaders and dwellers extended thanks and appreciate to the party for the remarkable gesture.
According to them, the donations were timely and will go down in history.
Something they termed as unforgettable venture especially admits the virus that has provided abnormalities across the globe.
