National Traditional Council Barks Calls for War and Economic Crimes Court Establishment in Liberia

The National Traditional Council of Liberia is calling for the establishment of war and Economic Crimes court in Liberia.

Marking the disclosure Wednesday on a local radio Talk show, Chief Zanzan Karwor said, it will be a great initiative by the George Weah lead government to accept the court establishment.

Chief Karwar indicated, that over four hundred Chief across the country met and agreed that the establishment of the court will bring to an end the culture of impunity.

” We had meetings and signed paper that war and Economic Crimes court come in Liberia.” Chief Karwar indicated. He noted that as Fathers and elders of the land, they are best suited to make decisions that is best in the interest of the state.

The tough talking traditional council Chief lamented, that those individuals who committed crimes against the state must be made to account for their actions against the state.

Meanwhile, the (NTCL) Chair said, plans are underway to suspend all traditional activities across the country.

Chief Karwar believes that as the Coronavirus ( Covid-19) continue to take the lives of many in country, it will be in the best interest of the state to suspend all traditional activities as a way of reducing the spread of the virus.
