The National Election Commission on October 26, 2021, informed the general public that it has received the Ballot Papers, comprising 161, 70, and the remaining Repacked Electoral Materials through the Roberts International Airport on a special chattered flight from the Republic of Ghana. NEC said, the Ballot Papers and Pre packed Electoral Materials were brought into the country by Buck Press Limited.
According to NEC Chairperson Madam Davidetta Browne Lansanah, the materials were received by official of the Commission and escorted by officers of the Liberia National Police (LNP) to the Commission’s Central Warehouse. Security protection for the warehouse is currently being provided by the LNP.
Total breakdown of the Ballot Papers is as follows:
Bomi County: 39, 848
Bong County: 40, 425
Grand Gedeh County: 32, 340
Nimba County: 49, 088
Madam Brown Lansanah informed the media that the Commission is in the process of contracting a total of 1, 576 temporary staff to serve as polling staff during the 16 November 2021 By-elections. Bong County: 374 Temporary Staff; Bomi County: 369 Temporary Staff; Grand Gedeh County: 307 Temporary Staff; and Nimba County: 464 Temporary Staff.
The NEC Chairperson noted that the Commission on October 4th to 8th conducted the exercise for the replacement of lost or damaged Voter ID Cards. The numbers of registered voters who replaced their voter ID cards in each of the four electoral districts are as follows:

A total of 95, 581 Registered Voters from the 4 counties are expected to cast their votes during the 16 November 2021 Representative By-elections.
