Victor Varney Watson of the People’s Unification Party (PUP) was yesterday declared winner of the October 5th, 2019 Grand Cape Mount County Senatorial By-election. The By-election came as a result late Honorable Edward Dagoseh departure from this world, which left such seat and position vacant in the county.
Before giving out the final result of the just ended Senatorial By-election, NEC Boss, Cllr. Jerome Korkoya stated, 171 polling places in Grand Cape Mount County with 25,759 votes were counted and tallied with total voters turnout amounted to 41.8 percent. Cllr. Korkoya extended thanks and appreciations to the government, International Partners, Observer groups, the Joint Security, the Media, NEC Staffs and Poll workers for their contributions to the success of the By-election.

Consistent with Section 2.9(g) of the New Election Law of Liberia, and based on the result above, Victor Varney Watson of the People’s Unification Party (PUP) was yesterday declared winner of the October 5th 2019, Grand Cape Mount County Senatorial By-election at the Head quarters of the Liberia National Election Commission.
