Nimba Sports Steering Committee Chair Dispels Rumor of Appointing a New Coach

Nimba County- Odoshall Karnue, chairman of the Nimba County Sports steering Committee says he has not appointed any coach for both football and kickball teams of Nimba County for the 2020/21, edition of the National County Sports Meet.

According to Mr. Karnue he has only received applications from four persons who have expressed interested in becoming coaches for the county, but has not named any of the candidates, and called on citizens to refrain from announcing people as coaches whom he has not appointed.

He ruled out speculations that Emmanuel Kaykay and Ezekiel S. Dokpa have been named as respective stewards of the football and kickball teams of Nimba.

Meanwhile, Mr. Karnue revealed that he has received communication from Nimba Kwado Head Coach, Kollie Korvy, former Nimba County Coach Ambra George Dahn and Coach Emmanuel Kaykay for the football team while former Nimba County Kickball Head Coach Ezekiel S. Dokpa is the only applicant for the kickball category.

In another development, the CEO of a local business center in the county has announced that the 2020 Nimba County Inter-Electoral District Championship will kick off on August 22 and will be climaxed on 22 September 2020.

Organizers have begun the distribution of footballs amongst the nine electoral districts of the county.
