The Orange National First Division League returned with a whole lots of exciting moments on Wednesday, February 3, with six matches played across the country.
A total of eleven goals were netted with only three of the twelve clubs [Nimba FC, Small Town and Freeport FC] failing to find the back of the net.
Current league champions, LPRC Oilers have somersaulted to take the first spot of the league table after slipping off on match-day six when they tasted their first season to Nimba Kwado. The champions bounced back and hammered Freeport FC 2-0 at the ATS.
The win sent the Oilers back at the top of the table with a point different seperating them from their main challengers Nimba Kwado.
The Sanniquellie based Club Nimba Kwado were forced to a 1-1 tied by Capemount giants FC Bea Mountain. Alloy Brown scored for the home side (Kwado), while Leon Quamie hit the curtains to save a point for the visitors.
In another match-day action, former champions LISCR FC toke a convincing 2-nil triumph over Nimba FC at the Gompa Sports Stadium. Thanks to a goal each from Brayane Cheick and Sekou Sheriff.
Mighty Barrolle, one of Liberia’s most celebrated domestic club collected all three points as they whipped Small Town FC 2-0 in an after party at the SKD.
The Logan Town Boys are currently sitting at the bottom following a decimal performance in their last seven league contest.
NPA Anchors refused to succumb as they shared the spoils with home side Nimba United at the North Star Stadium in Mount Barclay. Both sides settled to a 1-1 draw.
