A Tragic motor accident has reportedly killed one person in the Jinnipeleta bridge along the Gbarnga, Nimba highway.
Eye witnesses told KMTV that the driver who reportedly died instantly was over- speeding, when his right front tire burst, thus making him to lost control.
They explained that when the unidentified driver lost control, he hit a motorcyclist with his speeding vehicle, resulting into his Nissan vehicle which he was using as commercial taxi running into the bridge and immediately summersaulted.
Sustaining severe injuries, the only lady onboard and the motorcyclist have been taken to Phebe Hospital in Bong.
It was alleged that the driver might have been in high speed inorder to reach quickly to Gbarnga and fix his car tier that was already in a bad condition.
The cause of the accident has not been established by the Liberian National Police Bong County Detachment.
However, the vehicle involving the accident and the Bajaj motorbike have been taken to the Police headquarters in Bong County as Police immediate start investigation.
This is the second major accident in just a week in Bong County and has reportedly brought the number of deaths to seven. On Monday, October 20 a truck transporting cocoa to Monrovia lost control and again summersaulted which led to the deaths of at least six person.
