Over Costa’s Documentation Saga, Executive Mansion Refutes President Weah’s Involvement

Presidential Press Secretary Isaac Solo Kelgbeh has refuted claims of President George Weah’s involvement into the ongoing Henry Costa’s travel documentation saga.

According to Mr. Kelgbeh the President has no specific interest in stopping any citizens from leaving the Country if he/she wants to rather such process must be done properly, he added.

The Press Secretary addressing Executive Mansion reporters at the first 2020 briefing Tuesday wants Liberians to follow the due process as far as traveling routine is concern something he added is done across the globe.

The claimed rumor of the president’s involvement is false and a mere petty political distraction, this the government will not give credence to, Solo stressed.

In the wake of the ongoing investigation relative to Henry Costa’s documentation saga Mr. Kelgbeh urged the public to give the relevant authority of Government the chance to do its work and present report to the Liberian people soon.

Currently according to reports, the Liberia Immigration Service is said to be investigating the matter on how allegedly Mr. Costa acquired a claimed forged including fake travel documents which saw him arrived in Liberia on  December 19, 2019.

It still unclear as to what exactly transpired behind the scene in relations to the COP’s boss travel papers as the “LIS” is doing deal diligence to the matter, as such the President’s Spokesman warned Liberians from jumping into quick conclusions including pointing accusing fingers.

In another development Mr. Kelgbeh has commended the Executive Mansion Press Corps for the professional manner in which they conducted their just ended elections which brought on board a new core of officials to steer the affairs of that auxiliary of the Press Union of Liberia for the next three years.

He therefore pledged his office support and willingness to work with the new leadership for the smooth running of media activities at the Executive Mansion.

According to him hard to reach Counties to include Sinoe, Grand Kru, Maryland among others will be prioritized during the commencement of the tour.

The EM Press boss pointed out that ongoing projects which maybe completed during the President’s tour will be dedicated because they are the projects of the people as such he (Weah) will not waste no time in turning it over to them once they are fully completed and ready for dedication.

Meanwhile the Liberian leader has praised all eight Counties who have made their way through qualification to the quarter finals stage of the National County Sports Meet including his Grand Kru and Rivercess Counties respectively though he is the President of the entire Country.

Solo through President Weah encouraged the participating Counties to maintain their good performance to ensure they complete their mission of clinching the giant size trophy at the end of thee month long sporting activities.

At the same time he lauded the female under 17 National team of Liberia for their splendid performance which saw them trashed out their Nigerien counterparts four goals to zero  on Sunday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium as the return leg in Niamey is scheduled for next Sunday.
