A media internship agreement between the Kreative Mindz Television (KMTV) and the Lewis Togba School of Journalism and Media Services (LTSJMS) of the Versatile Vocational Training Center (VVTC) has been signed.
The partnership will afford students of the LTSJMS at the VVTC the opportunity to undergo training and internship in Multi-Media production with KMTV USA/ Liberia.
The program which will run for a year, was signed Tuesday June 23, 2020 at KMTV headquarters in Congo Town, Monrovia, Liberia.
KMTV Founder, Mr. Randall P. Jackson signed for his institution while Mr. Lewis Teah Togba Sr, founder and Board Chairmen of Versatile Trust Inc Owner of the Versatile Vocational Training Center VVTC that runs the Lewis Togba School of Journalism and Media Services LTSJMS signed for his Institution.
Speaking during the signing ceremony in Monrovia Liberia, KMTV CEO, Mr. Randall P. Jackson on behalf of KMTV said the MOU will go a long way in giving young and aspiring journalists the opportunity to sharpen their skills in modern Journalism, especially in the area of Multi Media.
He said the LTSJMS students will be able have access to KMTV facilities and expertise during their stay at the Institution.
For his part, Veteran Liberian Broadcast Journalist Lewis Teah Togba Sr, founder and Board Chairmen of VVTC/LTSJMS said, the signing of the MOU was a dream come through.
Mr. Togba referenced that while in the USA attending the Association of Liberian Journalists in the Americas (ALJA) national Convention in 2019, he held discussion with Mr. Nathan Charles of KMTV -USA on such collaboration.
He said, his Journalism program priorities video editing, adobe audition software and multimedia training mixed with the teaching of the traditional media skills.
Mr. Togba served as former head of News at the state broadcaster LBS, and explained during the signing ceremony that for the last three months KMTV- USA through Mr. Nathan Charles has been carrying out an intensive online multimedia training for several of his prospective graduating students.
Mr. Togba particularly mentioned student Ransford Browne who has been exceptional during the training, with his valuable skills in video editing.
He praised the management of KMTV USA and Liberia for such an amazing collaboration and promised to use the opportunity to trained aspiring journalists in the country.
The signing ceremony between the two institution’s was witnessed by KMTV Monrovia Liberia Manager Josiah Wish, VVTC Program Officer Mr. G. Teenecee Togba and Intern Ransford Browne among others.
