More smiles for the people of the municipal Borough of New Kru Town as National Government continues to provide fix lift to that densely populated community despite the current economic situation facing the Nation and its people.

As a means of fulfilling his promise to the people of New Kru Town, the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) is said to be working aggressively with the construction of the over sixty units in order to meet up with time deadline.

According to our latest tour the project is now in its advance stage with the roofing and plastering of several units ongoing.

The proposed new City project as President George Weah envisaged for the people of New Kru Town is expected to be completed early 2020.

“According to the President Special Aid-Sekou Kalasco Damaro, The President is succeeding in transforming the lives of the ordinary people, he noted.

The project which is part two of the President’s initiative in the Borough of New Kru Town when completed will give additional fix lift to the borough of New Kru Town especially those residing along the coastal area of the Borough.

About sixty units including modern ware houses, restaurants and many others are part of  phase two of the project.

The people of District sixteen Montserrado County have all reasons to continue their commendations to President Weah’s government for its continued developmental initiatives to them.

It can be recalled that the Government in 2018 initiated and completed the coastal defense force project for the people there-by preventing the sea from making them homeless and in July of 2019 as well completed and turned over forty housing units, well-furnished and electrified with mattresses including food and non-food items to fire victims in the Popo Beach Community.

As the project is said to be ongoing residents according to our tour observed that the people are fully cooperating to ensure its completion soon.
