Pres. Weah Lifts Nat Blama’s Suspension, Suspens NTA’s Dep. Managing Director

Suspended Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, Nathaniel Blama

President George Weah has lifted the suspension of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Executive Director, Nathaniel Blama, a release from the Executive Mansion says.

Mr. Blame was suspended for time indefinite on March 16, by President Weah for violating prescribed health protocols and endangering public health.

He was tested positive for COVID-19 and became Liberia’s index case and later recovered from the virus.

Meanwhile, the E-Mansion release also stated that President Weah has suspended with immediate effect Myer Beaty, Deputy Managing Director of the National Transit Authority (NTA).

“Mr. Beaty is suspended for administrative reasons for one month without pay,” the release said.

President Weah has also made additional appointments in the government. Those nominated include, James Thompson, Director General of the Civil Service Agency (CSA), and Abraham Mitchell, Assistant Minister for Codification at the Ministry of Justice.
