President George Weah Encourages World Leaders To Emulate Mandela’s Legacy


Liberian leader George Weah has called on his global counterparts to work collectively in promoting peace across the global village.

Speaking for the first time at the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit Monday September 22,2018 in New York, Dr.Weah said in order to achieve one global agenda it is key for total peace to reign in the world.

“Let’s emulate the Mandeba’s legacy, he pointed out to his fellow colleagues.

Weah explaining further noted that the work and passion of the late South African president has helped motivated him to keep courage and work hard in promoting peace related activities across the world making reference to his peace Ambassdorial role in the 2000.

At the same time other world leaders delivering seperate statements including Ghanian President Dr.Nana Akufo Addo and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa all recounted the enormous contribution and support of the Peace icon to Africans and the globe at large.

Collectively they want all peace initiatives to be harness in a drive to promote peace,development and reconciliation internationally.

In a related development Dr.Weah held a brief meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Treaude.

The both leaders recounted the long standing diplomtatic ties between each Country.

Dr.Weah and Prime Minister Trudeau promise to work together in promoting the agenda of both Countries.

Meanwhile several other developmental meetings are said to be on the way as detail information is expected shortly.
