Liberian leader George Manneh Weah, has broken ground in River Gee County for the construction of a mini hydro power plant along the River Gee corridors .
According to Authorities of the Rural and Renewable Energy Agency, the dam when completed will supply electricity to adjoining cities and towns in River Gee and Maryland Counties.

According to a release, acting Public Works Minister, Hon. Ruth Coker-Collins says, approximately 81% progress has been made.
Meanwhile, the Public Works Official used the occasion to announce the dedication of Phase I of the Haper – Karloken (50km) and Harper – Cavalla Custom (16km) Corridor Road which is expected to take place on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Cavalla Junction.
