President George Manneh Weah Thursday reassured his people that he will lift up to his promise of building more roads in the Country.
“What we say, we will do, we will do it and we remain focus and committed in that direction”, President Weah asserted.
Speaking to reporters ahead of a one day inspection tour of road projects in Montserrado County, the Liberian leader urged his people to give his Government time to deliver, encouraging them to focus on the positives for the betterment of the nation and its people.
Ahead of the President George Weah’s Nation Wide Tour Next Month, the Liberian Leader and entourage during the touring exercise were greeted with cheers and praises from the Liberian people for the timely and crucial intervention to their respective community road projects.
The touring exercise which started from the VOA East Community in District six Montserrado County saw hundreds of residents in a jubilant mood commending the Government for solving their old age problem bad roads condition in their community.
Though the road project is yet to be completed but the happy people of the VOA East community termed the initial intervention by the CDC led Government headed by President George Weah as a land mark achievement for them.
They promise upon completion of the road project to help maintain it especially, the bridges and other facilities.
The tour later continue at the Vogar Mission Community in Paynesville where President Weah after inspecting the Vogar Mission School and Football Field respectively instructed the Head of the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) Quiwu Yeke to embark on a fencing project of the public School including the Basketball Court as well as providing an artificial turf on the field.
According to Mr. Yeke the Liberian leader has a great passion and is committed to help transform the lives of his people .
The Thursday touring exercise later got added momentum when the President’s entourage shifted to the Parker Paint and Soul Clinic Communities in district four Montserrado County as huge number of students, young people and older folks could not just hide their joy about the president’s road initiative in their Communities.
“Talk and Do, Weah is what we want, Weah our leader and many others, were political slogans, the people chanted during the one-day exercise.
The one Day exercise which is not the first of its kind by the President and his entourage including the public Works Ministry was among other things intended to inspect ongoing road projects, to motive the contractors to ensure they do more as they are working with time deadlines.
Meanwhile the Nickley Town, to Lower Johnsonville, Soul Clinic, Vogar Mission, Parker Paint to Coca Cola Factory, VOA East project sites were among several roads toured by the Liberian leader and other government officials including Public Works Minister Mobutu Nyenpan, Finance and Development Planning Minister Samuel Tweah and many others.
