President Weah encouraged Liberians residing in the US to take advantage of the one year extension period given them by the American government.

Liberian Leader George Weah has challenged Liberians living in the United States of America to make maximum use of the one year extension given them by the American government through its President Donald Trump.
President Weah through his Press Secretary Sam Manneh thanked and appreciated President Trump and the people of America for such a key decision for his people.
He encouraged them to see the recent decision by the US Government as an opportunity for them to contribute meaningfully to the American society.
The statement read by Sam Manneh Presidential Press Secretary at the same time warned his kingsman residing in the US to at all times abide as well as respect the rule of law in that Country.
Sam described the decision taken by the American people as not only timely but also brought great relief to Liberians in the US as well as those back home.
According to him the gesture clearly speaks to the US government unwavering commitment to upholding the bond of friendship and cooperation subsisting between the two Countries.
Mr. Manner was also quick to commend the US embassy near Monrovia especially Ambassador Christine Elder for been very instrumental to the recent decision by President Trump.
The news of the March 2019 extension which brought relief to Liberians back home was graciously received by several Liberians.
Until the deadline shall have expired next year President Weah is hoping that his people will act accordingly as the American government next year may not compromise without sympathy but to implement the Deferred Enforcement Departure (DED).
