President Weah Endorses Senator Yallah’s Re-Election in Bong County


President George Manneh Weah on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, cleared doubt on the candidacy of the CDC in the Bong County senatorial race by endorsing the re-election of Senator Henry Yallah.

President Weah dispelled rumors that Mr. Yallah was not the chosen candidate for the CDC and asked those involved in such an act to halt their misleading activities or be punished by the party.

President Weah acknowledged that Cidicians are one and if one partyism is elected or selected to represent the party, every coalition member must join hands together and support the selected candidate for the party’s victory.


The Liberian leader also clarified misinformation that he was not visiting Bong County. “What evil have you done to me, that I will not visit you, I asked you to make me your leader and you did, why shouldn’t I visit you,” President Weah said.

Addressing a huge crowd at the county stadium, President Weah addressed Senator Yallah as a good, developmental, and a hard working individual who continues to work in the interest of his people. President Weah said, the re-election of Senator Yallah will help his government make the right decisions at the Senate for the development of the county.

For his part, Senator Yallah appealed to the people of Bong County to re-elect him to power so he can finish the work he’s doing in the County. The lawmaker encouraged the people of Bong to be united as unity is the only way for the county’s development.

Mr. Yallah said, his re-election will give the county more development, he appealed to the President to use his presidential weight to pardon some young men who are in prison.

The occasion was attended by top government officials and the people of Bong County.
