Put All Hands On Desk To Help Build Liberia,President George Weah Urged Liberians

“I call on all of you to join me and my team to build Liberia together”, President George Weah urged all Liberians.
” All hands on desk,let’s build Liberia together”, Dr. Weah call on his people.
Delivering his First Independence Day message to the nation at Liberia’s 171st Independence Day ceremony, the Liberian leader is of the conviction that with unity,peace and oneness,a stronger and united nation can be developed.
He encouraged all Liberians to join the task to develop Liberia which he added can’t be left with the government alone to perform.
It is about time that the people of this Country recover the lost and wasted years together, he indicated.
Dr.Weah reechoed his government’s commitment to reconcile his people, saying united we stand divided we all fall.
According to him unlike this year’s celebration he is hoping that come next year his government and people can have a better reason to smile and celebrate.
The 171st independence day celebrations started at 6:00 am Thursday July 26,2018 with the hoisting of the Liberian flag followed by the independence day parade led by the Armed Forces of Liberia including other para military units and will climax officially on Saturday.
Finance and development planning minister Samuel Tweah served as national orator under the theme:Unifying The Nation For Pro Poor Development.
Orator Tweah said Liberians are stronger and braver as a nation and people due to it’s ambitious history and foundation,encouraging all Liberians to forget the past and build on the gains made thus far.
He called on African Nations to diversified their economy if they should be economically and independently solid.
Tweah at the same time challenged the media to go beyond the elections which he added is over and speak the real truth for the growth and development of Liberia’s democracy.
Additionally the finance Minister warned those in the opposition not to wish Liberia evil only because they are not in government.
“Human Capital is key and should be developed for the betterment of the country and its people”,he noted.
His oration which received commendations from president Weah due his splendid presentation captures several key sectors of government and the society at large and will now lead the public discourse beginning now and going forward.
