Margibi County District#4 Representative Ben Fofana says he remains the only viable option for the senatorial post in the County ahead of the pending December polls.
Addressing scores of Journalists recently, Rep.Fofana said he will do better if he gets elected to the highest office in the county, referencing his past and current achievements as his reliance.
Rep. Fofana, who got elected first in 2011 is enjoying his second term at the Legislature representing the people of Margibi district four.
According to the presumptive Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) candidate, Margibi will experience what he calls “rapid development” under his watch as a senator.
The Margibi lawmaker has however referred to those vying for the senatorial post in the county as “mere competitors and hustlers” who have done nothing to bring tangible developments to the people of the county.
In a related development, former House Speaker Emmanuel Nuquay has resigned his post as Director-General of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) to contest in the senatorial elections.
Mr. Nuquay’s resignation has been accepted by President Weah, who thanked him for his service to the nation and also wished him well in his new endeavors.
Nuquay is also one of the major contenders for the senatorial seat in the county.
Meanwhile Representative Ben Fofana has presented his annual District report to his constituents.
The annual reports catalogs workings at both Margibi District four and the Liberian Legislature.
In his address, Rep. Fofana outlined several initiatives he had undertaken in his district and as such, it was prudent to give him the chance to serve at the Liberian senate.
