Montserrado County District Six Representative Samuel Enders has cautioned members of the House of Representatives to place on the national agenda the issues of the people and not issues of individual political parties.
According to him Party politics have over shadowed the direct mandate of Lawmakers of which they were elected by the people to serve something he noted is unfortunate.
He alleged that most of his colleagues in plenary rather focus on party issues, argue on the personal political activities than national issues which are of paramount concern to the entire Country, “this is wrong and should be corrected”, he added.
He challenged the speaker of the House of Representatives Dr. Bhofal Chambers to step up to his game and ensure the best things are done in the interest of the masses.
Representative Enders observed that the speaker is losing his grip on his leadership ability at the House, this he noted needs to be corrected to the core.
According to him if Liberia should move forward than it is key that Lawmakers should set the example now and make the necessary sacrifice and do the right thing for the masses to benefit.
Rev. Enders addressing a news Conference Saturday in his district also termed as false and misleading media reports that he received five thousand United States Dollars for the purpose of printing new bank notes.
“I just return to the Country from the United States of America to solicit support to help my people and was not here when this entire discussion started, so I wonder where this is coming from, he noted.
The District six Lawmaker warned the media to balance and cross check their facts including stories before reporting information to the public.
On the issue of the plan December 30, Protest, he indicated clearly that “he will not buy pig in the bag”, as such he is not in support of any plan protest.
“Let the protesters tell us what they hope to achieve, let the chief organizers of the protest tell us where they live, which school they went to, where are their families and investments among others before staging protest, because according to him Liberians are no longer prepare to repeat the ugly history and damage investments including disrupting the hard earned peace the people of Liberia as well as the international community suffered to achieved.
He at the same time encouraged the Liberian leader to help listen to his people and see the need to address some of their concerns.
“Even if the issues cannot be addressed now, it is key that the president speak up and give a message of hope to his people, Representative Enders added.
On the printing of the new bank notes the man of God stressed that until the issues surrounding the 16b, 25m among others can be addressed, he does not support the printing of new bank notes in the Country.
