In the wake of economic downturn Liberia is currently faced with thus affecting almost all sectors, Montserrado County Senior Senator has entered into reducing transportation fares in all districts in the county.
Senator Joseph’s intervention in reducing transportation fares is now for the third time with District 2 adding to the number of three.
On Monday, October 14, 2019, Montserrado County Senator Saah Joseph donated to the people of that part of his County a new 25 seated Buss.
The donation according to the senator is meant to help the people with transportation fares.
The transportation of hundred Liberia Dollars will now be available at 50 Liberia Dollars from District two specially from Jacob Town to Central Monrovia on the 25 seated buss.
Senator Joseph buss presentation counts three the number of busses given to three districts.
About three mouths ago the people of District 15 witnessed another buss that was given them prior to the electoral victory of now Representative Abu Kamara by the same Senator.
The Montserrado County Senator in his statement to the people Monday called on them to work in line with the transportation fares that is attached to the buss.
According to him, power to the people as demonstrated signals an effort of contributing to the Pro-poor Agenda for prosperity and development (PAPD).
His journey he noted is note a show up but a trend that will be seen in all districts of Montserrado county.
As part of back to his constituents campaign after ascendancy to the senate, the Montserrado county lawmaker says working in the interest of his people especially in this “kind of life ” is paramount.
At the same time, leadership and residents of the districts have expressed gratitude to Senator Saah Joseph for the gesture.
According to them, the donation is timely and will help ease the high transportation fares the District is faced with.
They want other lawmaker follow suit in the move of giving back to society.
