Senator-Elect Snowe Appreciates Residents of Bomi

Bomi County Senator-Elect Edwin Snowe has lauded his supporters for the trust built in him to serve as Senator of the County.

Senator-Elect Snowe electing him wasn’t a mistake, but a true meaning of creating more opportunities for the people of Bomi county.

The Bomi County lawmaker was on December 12, 2020, declared the winner of the Bomi Senatorial race after obtaining 16,476 (53.97%) of the total votes ahead of contender J. Alex Tyler, who obtained 8,834 (28.9%).

“I have come today to say thank you Bomi county, I’ve come today to say thank you Sienjay District, I’ve come to say thank you, my people, thank you for the confidence,” Rep. Snowe said.

He said the love showed by his people demonstrated their commitment and trust they have in him to reform the county that has produced 12 years President and nine years Speaker.

He threw direct jabs as Ex-Liberian leader Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and defeated CDC candidate Alex Tyler.

He promised to have sleepless nights of works for the people of Bomi county because obtaining over 16 thousand votes ahead of the ruling party candidate Tyler.

At a well-attended ceremony in Bomi County which was witnessed by over six elected senators in Liberia from counties including Grand Bassa, Montserrado, River Gee, Grand Gedeh, Grand Cape Mounty, and Lofa, the senator elected showed out his level of unity and lobbying power at the Senate to his people.

He said the visit of the Senators at his “Thank You Tour” was meant to show them the level of development needed in the county and as a way of fostering unity and building a political majority network.

Mr. Snow a former House Speaker said, the power to lobby for development depends solely on other colleagues at the senate and he’s aiming for such intending to provide basic social services for his people.

“That is why I’m happy to team up with these decent people, we’re not going to the Senate to fight, we’re not going to the Senate to stop good things but we’re going to the Senate to make sure that the Liberian people benefit from our actions.”

The Bomi County Senator-Elect assured his people that he will start several projects in the county and visit all districts as he frowned on the constant threat and political witch hunt from the government against people in their employ.

In another development, Mr. Snow also lifted the hands of his deceased campaigner manager and former senator of the county wife Mrs. Lasannah as his replacer in Sinjay District.

Justifying his endorsement, Snow said her husband died trusting and believing in him and it was prudent to support her in the by-election.

He lauded his campaign team and people who had ambition but back off and supported his senatorial quest.

This he said, is the true meaning of people believing his capability to push the county forward in terms of development.
