Sister for Sister International Embarks on Female Menstrual Cycle Education Campaign, “DAY FOR GIRL”.


A local NGO, Sister for Sister International has embarked on a campaign to educate underprivileged girls about their mestrual cycle.

The campaign was launched by the group in a move to help under privileged girls in rural areas understand, and stay in school during their menstrual cycle.

The “Day for Girl” campaign under Sister for Sister International, is aimed at providing health, and sex education amongst others to girls in rural Montserrado. The Sister for Sister international is a local NGO in district #15, Montserrado County, working to empower women through skills training, advocacy and peace building. The organization was founded 2014 by its Executive Director Janice Smallwood Malekebu, and has been training women in soap making, tailoring, providing school supplies, and scholarships to under privileged children in the country. Meanwhile, the founder of “Sister for Sister International” Janice Malekebu in an interview with KMTV News Today, also pleaded with philanthropists to aid them for the sustenance and smooth operation of their organization.
