The Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) in Grand Cape Mount County during the weekend arrested six alleged drug dealers in Robertsport City.
Those arrested include five Liberians and a Nigerian.
LDEA Cape Mount Commander, Thomas Saye said, the arrests were made doing a special operation launched in Robertsport city called “operation safe Robertsport.”
“We had received an intelligence from residents of Robertsport, who have complained of the high rate of illegal drugs transaction in many communities with in the city limit for which it is causing a serious threat to the growth and development of our society,” he said.
According to Commander Saye, the street value of the drugs arrested from the six persons is valued over L$933,575.
Those arrested include, Moore James, a Liberian age 32, with 15 warped cocaine and 2 warped marijuana. Joseph Grey, a Nigerian age 23, with 13 tubes of heroin, Decontee Chea, a Liberian age 40, with 23 warped cocaine, Seidu Wilson, a Liberian age 14, with 23 warped cocaine, Helena Joe, a Liberian and one is undergoing serious investigation.
Speaking further, Agent Saye said, the suspects are currently behind bars pending investigation and called on residents of the county to report all illegal drugs actors in their communities.
This he assured the residents will help to eradicate the high rate of illegal drugs within the county and the country at large.
