The Path Will Not Always Be Clear,President Weah Challenged members of the 57th Graduating Class of Cuttington University

Liberian leader George Weah has termed his Doctorate Degree received today June 29,2018 at the 57th Graduation and Convention exercises of the Cuttington University as his long standing impact and recognition for his modest humanitarian role played in the life’s of several Liberians mainly in the educational sector.
He thanked the administration of Cuttington University for bestowing upon him a honorary Doctorate Degree of Humane letters.
Serving as Commencement speaker under the theme: The Path Will Not Always Be Clear,President Weah encouraged the graduates to think bigger,go beyond what they have seen and known before,believing that they can do better and bigger things in society.
He challenged them to think always about creating new ways and ideas in their respective professions in ensuring a brighter future for all.
In a move to embrace greater success in society Mr.Weah urged the graduates to think,be committed,dream,plan well,try,fail, learn and try again for the common good of the Country.
“My life is a clear example,I try and fail and I learn,plan,work hard,dream and tried again until finally I made it as you too can do the same”,he noted.
He questioned the graduates saying”: What are you going to do with these degrees, What kind of citizens are you prepare to become in society after today? and many others, though the graduates responded positively but the message was clear that he was encouraging them to thing and work to help build Liberia together.
” We are now building a stronger, better Liberia and it will take people like you to come on board with new ideas and ways of approaching issues”,he added.
Speaking further President Weah said Liberia needs people who are determined not only to talk rather people who will work and take new and different radical actions in the interest of the Country.
According to him most people fail not because the are not good but only because they were not patient,resilient and committed especially at verge of their success,they usually abandoned the struggle, something he does not want the graduates to repeat.
“You may have a well layout clear plan but life will introduce you to challenges just bear in mind that ” The Path Will Not Always Be clear”, he warned.
President Weah encouraged the graduates as they go out into the larger society to take risk,don’t be afraid to fail,because failure is part of the struggle “he uttered.
He is certain that the graduates can make a difference in Liberia only if they are willing and prepare to take the necessary risk and act beyond the ordinary.
According to him you can’t get extraordinary results just from ordinary efforts but was quick to encourage them to always be prepare to make extraordinary efforts in a move to achieve more.
In a motivational style Ambassador Weah reminded Liberians in general to help do all they can to advance the pro poor agenda.
” Do not forget about Liberia, join us in Building it for the benefit of all”,he indicated.
The program which marked the 57th Commencement and Convocation exercises of the Cuttington university in Gbarnga City Bong County saw hundreds of students walking away with degrees as they and their families just could not hide their joy.
The question now is in the way of economic challenges including high rate of unemployment, the wave of absorbing those graduates into society after years of academic studies is now a big question and challenge for national government especially those who are jobless.
