Three Pastors Flogged For Teaching the Bible in Grand Kru County

Three Pastors of the Satiken Join Christain Fellowship Church have been flogged allegedly by some youths and elders of Parluken, Forpoh Statutory District in Grand Kru County for teaching   the Bible to citizens in the towns.

According to the Liberian National Police Grandkru detachment on August 31, 2020, a first complain was filed by Raymond Dweh and Joshua Kieh Koyan after been flogged severely and held  hostage by the community youth for about four hours.

The whipping of the Pastors according to the Liberia National Police came after youths and traditional groups claimed that the Pastors messages was a total violation against there tradition.

Pastor Raymond Dweh and Joshua Kieh Koiyan told police preliminary investigations that they were assulted, Bibles forcefully taken away from them by the youth and traditional leaders.

The Pastors were made to paid a fine of one hundred thousand Liberian dollars and stated that church members who came in defense to rescured them were also asked to paid between  twenty five, and fifty thousand Liberian dollars respectively.

The two Ministers of God disclosed that the mob violence led to the massive destruction of the Church properties and other personal belongings.

Police authorities told KMTV in the County recently, that despite the Pastors been assulted they are  alive and their medical condition is  very critical.

The Liberia National Police in Grandkru, has meanwhile investigated and charged seven persons with  Criminal conspiracy  terrorist threat, aggravated assult and harassment pending Court prosecution.

Meanwhile, Grand Kru District #2 Representative Jonathan Fonati koffa, has frowned at the recent action by the young people of Parluken and vowed that justice will be serve the three Pastors.
