To Improve Sports Development, Support To Young Talents Is Key, Asserts, Momo T. Cyrus

The Chairman of the Lofa County National County Meet  2019/2020 edition Momo T. Cyrus is calling for massive support to gifted Liberian young talents for the promotion and development of the game across Liberia.

Mr. Cyrus stressed that  Liberia is endowed with natural talents but is lacking in terms of exclusive support to help enhance their talents.

He observed that over the period  the lack of proper preparations and indiscipline as obstacles to the forward match of the game something he want to be change for the betterment of the sector.

The CEO of Security Expert Guide Agency (SEGAL) at the same time recommended the introduction of sports development programs in Lofa County in order to help expose hidden talents in the County.

“We have good talents across Liberia especially in rural Liberia as such exposing them through creative footballing programs and activities will go a long way in the sector”, he noted.

On preparation for the County team, Mr. Cyrus pointed out that the committee is working very hard to achieve its desire goal.

He lauded the effort of the Legislative caucus for making available an initial amount of $USD 1M Liberia Dollar for the teams of the County.

According to him the spirit of Unity is now overwhelming in the County something he described as a key sound for the County.

“United Force is what we see among the people of Lofa from all ends and this is so encouraging for the spirit of the County’s team preparation”, he noted.

Lofa County is feeding three teams into the 2019/2020 National County Sports Meet to include: Football, KickBall and Women Football, which they came as runner-up in the maiden edition last year.

In a move to raise more money to help maintain the teams and give them added motivational boost, the steering Committee is hosting a one-day dollar rally campaign on Saturday at the Monrovia City Hall, in said regard he called on all Lofians to turn out to help support their County and respective teams to ensure a success in this years’ edition of the County Meet.
