Benoni W. Urey

The Political Leader of the All-Liberian Party (ALP), Benoni W. Urey, has written the President of the United States of America requesting rapid U.S. intervention into Liberia’s current health crisis.

In a letter dated June 28,2021, Mr. Urey informed the newly elected President Joe R . Biden that the health crisis in Liberia is nothing less than a calamity, and grief has consumed the country.

Further, the ALP political leader disclosed that health facilities in the country lacks capacity and resources to deal with what he described as a ‘horrifying medical crisis’ that is plaguing the country and its people at the moment.

Recounting the fraternal relationship which subsists between Liberia and the United States, as well as the goodwill of the American people over the years, Hon. Benoni W. Urey pleaded with President Joe Biden to consider attending to the cry of the Liberian people and sharing in their grief by intervening in the health crisis to save the lives of Liberians.

Meanwhile, Urey has reiterated his appeal to all Liberians to continue to adhere to all health safety measures being prescribed by health authorities and our partners.
