Via Town Residents Fetch Spilled Fuel from Mesurado River




Local residents in Via Town Community Monday morning rushed to the Mesurado River to collect a huge quantity of fuel spilled into the River by a “damaged pipe” reportedly belonging to the Liberia Petroleum and Refinery Company (LPRC).

Dozens of residents were early Monday morning seen using canoes and other available materials to fetch the spilled fuel oil floating over the river.

It is still unclear what led to the spilling of the fuel.
