VP Taylor To Speak At Blue Crest First Graduation Convocation As 68 Students To Obtain Degrees & Diplomas


Access to Tertiary Education has so far been achieved in Liberia since the administration of former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf especially under the Director Generalship of Dr. Michael P. Slawon as then Head of the National Commission on Higher Education.
Prior to that there has been a challenge of Liberian students having better options of attending tertiary institutions across Liberia.
Unlike in the past, the story is now different as several tertiary institutions both private and public are now operating across Liberia in various disciplines as such it is now affording the youthful population of the Country the wider change to acquire higher education of their choice based on their focus areas.
Well one of such tertiary institutions is the Blue Crest University College situated on the Tubman Boulevard, Fish Market Community and has so far been known for its quality as well as professional programming mainly in Information Technology over the years.
The Institution with about five years of operations in Liberia and with the effort of national Government is providing quality education for Liberian youth and the general populace.
Currently it offers Degrees and Diplomas in Information Technology, Management and Fashion Design especially with internationally recognized industrial link curriculum.


Speaking to reporters ahead of its first convocation ceremony scheduled for October 18, 2019-Friday, the President of Blue Crest University College Dr. Gajendra Singh confirmed Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor as the Institution’s first commencement speaker.
VP Taylor who has always spoken passionately about women and girls’ empowerment, equal women representation in decision making  as well as the provision of quality education for the future leaders of Liberia will address scores of international, regional, members of the national Legislature, local guests, the students’ populace, Blue-Crest family, stakeholders in the sector including educational workers on Friday at the Paynesville City Hall.
As an individual who sees Education as key to development, the Liberian Vice President is expected to address the private sector’s roles and contributions to Liberia’s educational system, challenges of the sector generally and how best efforts can be made holistically to help solve some of the challenges in the sector among others.
The Program according to Dr. Singh which will start by 10:00am local time will see the conferring of Degrees and diplomas to deserving students after years of studies.

Blue Crest University College since its establishment in 2014 due to its focus and standards in providing quality education to ensure better output for the Country has attracted the best of qualified instructors both internationally and nationally with modern educational facilities and materials to work with as well as good learning environment in order to enhance the speedy learning process of the students.

Meanwhile the first graduation  ceremony of Blue Crest University College  will see about sixty-eight students who will walk out of the walls of the Institution Friday.
