Montserrado County Representative Lawrence Morris has assured angry demolished properties owners of Fendell community of attaining Justice soon.

The Fendell residents’ properties were demolished in 2015 after a forceful eviction ordered by former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

However, the destruction of the structures on the land endowed to the University of Liberia excluded a Canadian water producing House known as Life Water Company.

Life Water property occupies about 5 acres of the Fendell properties.

Speaking at the “Ducor debates” organized by the Liberia Media for Democratic Initiative (LMDI) in Fendell, Representative Morris said it is painful for the hard-earned homes of the people to have been unjustifiably destroyed.

He meanwhile pleaded with the aggrieved residents to remain calm and use the rule of law.

Also speaking at the event, the head of Liberia Media for Democratic Initiative John Kollie termed as a “deep sense of inhumanity” the action of Sirleaf to ill-treat her citizens.

Mr. Kollie said the forceful eviction without compensation is a violation of International laws.
