Liberia’s President Fires LAA Boss from Gov’t

Liberia Airport Authority (LAA) Managing Director, Bishop John Allen Kyayee, has been fired of his post.

President George Weah according to an Executive Mansion release dismissed with immediate effect the Managing Director on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 for administrative reasons.

Bishop Klayee is the founder of the Church “Jubilee Praise and Worship Center” in Liberia.

The Deputy Managing Director for Operations, Martin Hayes, will act as Managing Director of the LAA pending the appointment of the entity’s new boss according to a release.

Recently, the Liberian leader suspended the Deputy Commissioner General for Operations at the Liberia Immigration Service, Abigail N. Wisseh for what he described as administrative reason.

Some media have reported that the suspended LIS boss was suspended after she allowed some foreigners into the country, breaching normal protocols and it was discovered that some of them had the COVID-19  virus that the raging the country.
